I have spent most of my working life in the creative industries as an advertising art director, graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. In 1998, I decided to follow my real passion, fine art, receiving a BA in Fine Art Painting (1st class) at the University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham. After completing my degree, I set up a studio; however, after the birth of my son, I decided to return to the world of advertising. Fast forward to 2025, and I have restarted my fine art career with a new body of work. Working mainly with charcoal on paper.

I make large-scale, detailed charcoal drawings inspired by natural forms. Confronted by the vastness of the landscape, I often feel overwhelmed, but by selecting small fragments, I can make more personal connections with the environment, finding intimacy within its complexity. The objects I choose are never random; each one grounds me in a specific time and place, holds deep emotional resonance, and causes me to reflect on my relationship with the natural world.
